ANE 8420 Applied Chemistry & Physics

This course presents fundamental concepts in physics and chemistry related to the practice of anesthesia. The physics portion of the course will explore the topics of motion, Newton's Laws, pressure, conservation of mechanical energy, thermodynamics, ideal gas laws, electricity, and radiation. The chemistry portion of the course covers topics of inorganic/organic structure, structure and function of biological molecules, properties of pharmaceutical agents, acid/base equilibrium, and membrane transport.
